Make Your Dock/Lift Last

Today's the first day of Spring and boating season is right around the corner! With Spring now here, maintaining your lift and/or dock will allow you to go boating sooner without having to get your dock or lift serviced. There are a few key things you should be doing to make your lift and/or dock and ultimately save you money!

  • Lube her up! Lube your wench box, gears, chains, pulleys, and all moving parts.

  • Inspect your cables for signs of wear. Pay close attention to any abrasions or kinks. These are signs they need to repaired right away to keep you from having lift failure.

  • The key to longer motor life is to keep your motor unplugged when you don't plan to use it for a longer period of time.

  • Make a baking soda paste to clean aluminum structures like your ladder.
