Need to get away? Whether or not you live on a lake, it doesn't mean you can't enjoy a lake getaway. Here's a list of some of the perfect lake vacation spots for you and the family to have the lake trip of a lifetime!

1. Lake Champlin in New York & Vermont

Lake Champlin holds a lot of history all the way back to the War of 1812. You could even stay at the Sagamore.

2. Lake Superior in Michigan, Minnesota, & Wisconsin

Lake Superior is so vast it could probably hold all the water from the other Great Lakes too. It is full of trout, walleye, northern pike, salmon, and so much more. No matter what time of year you visit there is something to fish for.

3. Lake Clark in Alaska

4. Lake Tahoe in California & Nevada

7. Flathead Lake in Montana
